A non-refundable 50% deposit is required for every session and secures your date. You can also pay in full when you book. It compensates RAWVUE for reserving that time and turning away other inquiries for it, so it isn't returned even if plans change. For portraits and events, the remaining balance is due on or before your shoot. For weddings, the remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before your date.

Retainers are non-refundable in every case. For weddings: cancelling within 90 days of your date may require 50% of the remaining balance, and within 30 days, the full remaining balance may be due. For portraits, brand sessions and events: with at least 48 hours' notice, the deposit is non-refundable and anything paid beyond it is refunded; with less than 48 hours' notice, or a no-show, payments made are forfeited. You can reschedule free with 48 hours' notice.

Yes, one reschedule is generally accommodated. Weddings need at least 30 days' notice, subject to availability, and the new date must fall within 12 months of the original. Portraits and events need 7 days' notice. If we can't match your new date, it's treated as a cancellation.

Coverage is contracted to a set number of hours and doesn't stretch automatically for late starts or delays. Extra time needs approval on the spot. For weddings, overtime is billed at $150 per hour (or any portion of one), invoiced afterward.

Portrait and event sessions are typically delivered within 1–2 weeks. Weddings run longer given the volume of images. You'll get an exact delivery estimate in your signed agreement.

Online wedding galleries stay live for at least 30 days after delivery. Please download and back up your files during that window. Re-hosting an expired gallery may involve an extra fee and isn't guaranteed.

Yes, send your must-have shots and family combinations at least 14 days out, along with one point-of-contact who knows both families to help gather people quickly for formals. We'll make every reasonable effort, but can't guarantee every requested shot, guest, or moment. We also recommend an unplugged ceremony: guests on phones tend to block sightlines and end up in the background of your own photos.

RAWVUE retains full copyright of every image, as is standard in professional photography. Once your balance is paid in full, you receive a personal-use license to print, share, and post your photos freely. They're not for commercial use, resale, contests, or advertising without written permission, and RAW files are never included with any package, just the finished, edited gallery.

We ask that you don't. The edited image you receive is the finished piece. Please don't run it through filters, AI enhancement or generative-editing tools, or alter watermarks and color grading, without written consent first.

Yes, every booking, from a single portrait session to a full wedding, is confirmed with a signed service agreement covering your date, package, and both parties' responsibilities. You'll receive it within 24 hours of booking. For clients under 18, a parent or guardian must review and sign on their behalf.

In the rare case of illness, injury, or an emergency, RAWVUE may send a qualified associate photographer to cover your event. If no replacement can be arranged, you'll receive a refund for the affected portion of coverage.

RAWVUE is booked as the sole professional photographer for your wedding: it keeps sightlines clear and avoids conflicting direction during formals and key moments. Friends and family are always welcome to shoot casually alongside.

Yes. RAWVUE is based in the Washington D.C. area and regularly shoots across Maryland and Virginia. Travel beyond that range may include mileage, tolls, parking, or a travel fee. Reach out with your location and date for specifics.

Most categories offer Essential, Plus, and Prime tiers with more outfits, people, and retouched images at each level. Pick what fits when you book, or ask if you need something custom.

Yes, proposals and engagement sessions fall under Weddings & Proposals. Since every one is different, these are custom-quoted rather than self-booked. Send an inquiry and we'll build a plan around it.

Sessions start and end at the scheduled time regardless of arrival, out of respect for the next client's booking: arriving late shortens your own session rather than pushing the end time back. If you'd like extra time, ask on-site; additional time is billed at the applicable hourly rate when the schedule allows it.

Reach out within 48 hours of your gallery being delivered so we can look into it while everything's still fresh. It's much harder for us to make things right after that window closes.
